Completed in early 2026, "Amalfi Boats" is an original ink and watercolor painting by Robb Walker from his "Kodachrome Inspiration" series. It is painted on Arches Aquarelle 100% cotton rag paper. It was inspired by Irving Lawres’ 1969 photograph of boats along the waterfront in Amalfi, Italy.
The work reflects Walker’s ongoing reimagining of select photos within the Irving Lawres archive — translating photographic images into painterly form while preserving the Kodachrome aesthetic of the original scene. The painted image is 18"x13". It has been mounted and matted with acid-free, pH-neutral, museum grade matboard. Set in a light wood frame with hanging wire. The overall framed dimensions are 24"x18". Includes hand-signed Certificate of Authenticity.
