Photographed in rural New England in 1959, this image shows a solitary figure walking along a country road during a light rain. The woman wears a bright yellow raincoat and carries a plaid umbrella, moving away from the camera toward a red barn and farmhouse partially obscured by trees. Wet pavement, early autumn foliage, and low overcast light define the subdued rural setting.
