Photographed in Leningrad in 1974, this image shows rowboats crossing the River Neva near the Peter and Paul Fortress, documenting everyday leisure along an historic urban waterway. Two small wooden boats carry adults and a child, with oars cutting through dark, reflective water. The elevated viewpoint emphasizes spacing, movement, and the scale of the river within the city.
