Collection: Kodachrome Inspiration

Original artwork by Robb Walker inspired by select images from the Irving A.J. Lawres archive of midcentury 35mm color slides.

Robb takes select images from Irv's collection that really catch his attention and resonate with him. He then reinterprets the midcentury photographic images into a contemporary painterly format. Sometimes he uses Irv's images as a reference that he tries to accurately recreate. Other times, he uses Irv's images truly as just an inspiration and lets his creativity fill in the rest.
